On March 10, 2018, an ultralight aircraft crashed near Bensheim, Hesse, carrying a 32-year-old pilot and a 19-year-old passenger. The passenger was the sister of the Mickenbecker twins, who ran the highly successful YouTube channel @TheRealLifeGuys. The tragic story doesn't end there, however. More about it in this video.

Addendum February 7, 2024:
I had a phone conversation today with the parents of the Mickenbecker twins, which lasted about an hour. They first confirmed to me that it's good for the relatives of accident victims to talk about their tragedies. Avoidance behavior, therefore, is—as I've always maintained—often only practiced by people who are more or less uninvolved.
Sabine and Peter Mickenbecker shared some highly interesting details with me, which would be beyond the scope of my channel if I were to discuss them here. Suffice it to say: The Mickenbeckers are neither Jehovah's Witnesses nor strictly Catholic. They don't belong to any free church either, but according to them, they take the Bible literally and want to live accordingly.
Anyone who doesn't believe in coincidences will be blown away by the calendar page they sent me. It's dated March 10, 2018, the day Elli died, and a pilot describes in detail the maneuvers that led to Elli's crash. Strictly observant atheists will dismiss this as a coincidence, but I'm sure there will also be some who get goosebumps reading this:

I told the Mickenbeckers that the last sentence of the calendar page wasn't to my liking. As you know, I'm against any kind of Jesus-related folklore. I would have preferred it if it had said: "I have surrendered my life to a higher power."
But the whole thing is still spooky...
