In Hollow Knight, players take on the role of a mysterious knight who journeys into the depths of Hallownest, a vast ancient kingdom hidden deep underground. Although the kingdom was long destroyed by some catastrophe, explorers and thieves still roam its dark roads, caves, and towers in search of riches and wonders.
But one day, something happened. Those who ventured into the caves stopped returning, and the caves themselves began to tremble with a strange energy. A sweet poison began to flow, driving creatures mad and stealing the memories of explorers.
Our hero must explore this deep and complex kingdom and uncover an ancient secret. His path won't be easy, but along the way he'll discover new roads, weapons, and abilities, and Hallownest will open up to him, and one day the knight will be able to conquer the ancient kingdom.
