Why Is My Content Not Indexed or Ranked in Google?
If you notice that you are not ranking well for a target term, or the wrong page is ranking for your target keyword, you should check to see if Google has even indexed the content.
To start, go into Google and perform a site:domain.com intitle:name of post
If you don't see your page within Google, that means that Google has not indexed that content yet. That doesn't mean Google has not crawled it, it just means it is not in the index.
Therefore, if you want Google to index and rank your content, you will need to add relevant internal links from pages that are indexed back to that target page. Next, you will need to clear your cache and fetch those new pages within Google to force their bot to see those links
