Record Audio From NI MASCHINE into CUBASE

1. Go to "F11" and select Maschine.
2. While still in "Devices/VST Instruments", set Cubase to see the multiple Maschine outputs by clicking the output icon and checking "Activate all outputs".
3. Go to the Maschine VST and load something; click on the different channels sound routing and set it to "Ext 1" "Ext 2" etc.
4. Create 16 stereo audio tracks in Cubase and name them "Pad 01" to "Pad 16" or whatever you want to.
5. Go to "F4" and click "Add Bus" and create 16 new stereo busses.
6. Set the "Audio Device" to "Not Connected" and rename them "Maschine Out 1", "Maschine Out 2", etc.
7. Go to "F3"
8. Change the "Output Routing" of the Maschine instrument tracks: rout the "Maschine Out 1" channel to "Maschine Out 1" and rout the "Maschine Out 2" channel to "Maschine Out 2" etc.
9. Change the "Input Routing" of the Cubase audio tracks: rout the "Pad 01" channel to "Maschine Out 1" and the "Pad 02" channel to "Maschine Out 2" and so on.
10. Arm the all 16 audio tracks.
11. Turn the monitoring "On".
12. Record
13. If you want go to "File/Safe as Preset" and name it "Maschine Recording" or something like that.
Note:
Everytime you load a new project, group or sound in Maschine you're gonna have to route the channels to "Ext 1" - "Ext 16". Maschine doesn't keep these settings.
If you hear the sound you play in this setup delayed. Your computer or audio interface is too slow. Try turning down the latency in your audio interface settings.
