FFXIV IS Losing Players (But It's Not a Bad Thing!)

Listen, the sensationalist headlines are technically correct, but they are entirely misleading and pure clickbait. FFXIV is losing players (for right now) and there are a few reasons why. But none of this is a bad thing for the future of the game, and FFXIV is not in danger of any cutbacks or closures because of it. Sure, Dawntrail had it's problems, but an underwhelming expansion does not a dead-game make.
So what's the deal behind all these videos and articles?
