Have you ever wondered what the daily life of a technical PM at Microsoft is life working from home? Whether you are a computer science major or an aspiring software engineer, I hope my day in the life of a Microsoft program manager gives you some insights into the responsibilities and daily tasks of a Microsoft pm.
In current times (depending on when you are watching this), the day in the life videos are more dry, as there is not much to do. But, I have found that an average day in the life of a program manager is very similar to a day in the life of a software engineer. For me I spend about 70% of my time on software engineering, 10% in meetings and about 20% on more PM related work. Though this will probably change as I become more familiar with the needs of my current Microsoft team.
