Microsoft has released an update for Windows Subsystem for Android on all Windows 11 channels including dev, beta & stable builds. What's New in WSA Android 12.1 Update!
The experience has been updated to Android 12.1! Some apps may fail to launch as a result of this update (see the known issues below for more details).
On newer Insider Preview builds (OS Build 22621+), Advanced Networking Networking for Windows Subsystem for Android has been improved to allow Android apps to connect to devices on the same network as your Windows PC. You can use advanced networking to play your favourite content on a speaker connected to the same network, or to set up a security camera (or other smart home device) with a compatible Android app.
Redesign of the Settings app
The Windows Subsystem for Android Settings app has been completely redesigned and updated. We rebuilt the app from the ground up, with clearer settings groups, grouped navigation, and a cleaner overall user experience. We've also added a diagnostic data viewer where you can examine all of the Subsystem's diagnostic data, as well as configuration options in the new compatibility settings to enable fixes for specific apps like forcing apps to be non-resizable or enabling swipes for arrow keys.
