YASSIADA: Hear it from me too
Thirty years ago, while we were making the Demirkırat documentary, a man came into the office. He had a sack full of film reels. "These are related to the Democratic Party," he said. "They were inherited from my father." His father had run a movie theater. In 1960, the military gave him this film to show in the theater, but they never took it back. We rented a theater and started watching it, and we couldn't believe our eyes: "Dükler Yassıada'da" (Miscarriages on Yassıada) was on the screen.
