TIME TO UPGRADE? AMD RYZEN 5800X3D vs 7800X3D
This video is a comparison between the flagship CPU for the AM4 platform, the 5800X3D, and the 7800X3D, still one of the best processors on AM5 in 2025, which price dropped significantly making it much more affordable. The tests were done using RTSS for the overlays and CapFrameX for precise percentile calculations. I’ve also included the charts in the video, and you can find the full file with all the tests in '.json' format on my Patreon!
🧪 DISCLAIMER
I tested in a common High-end single-player gaming scenario, maxing out graphics settings at 1440P while keeping Framerates comfortably smooth. I didn’t run tests at '1080p' or in 'competitive multiplayer' with low/medium settings aimed at pushing ultra-high FPS. Of course, in those cases, the faster CPU like the 7800X3D makes a BIG difference.
