I break the process down into 2 simple steps for beginners -
1) Mixing 🎧 : Setting the volumes from the channel rack to get a static mix. This will help balance and give you a clean mix.
2) Mastering 🎯 : This process is a really important process, learn to make your beats loud without clipping.
