I stepped inside a Bangkok temple and thought I'd teleported to Europe! 🇹🇭🇮🇹

I visited Wat Rachabopit in Bangkok and honestly couldn't believe my eyes. From the outside, it looks like a traditional Thai temple with beautiful hand-painted glazed tiles and golden decorations.

But step inside... and suddenly you're in what feels like an Italian cathedral!
This temple is unlike anything else in Bangkok. The exterior is 100% Thai - colorful ceramics, gilded details, and a stunning 43-meter golden chedi at the center. But the interior? Gothic-style architecture, European influences, and gilded Italian design that makes you question which country you're actually in!

About Wat Rachabopit:

Built in 1869 during King Rama V's reign, this royal temple reflects a fascinating period when Thailand was embracing European influences in architecture and design. King Rama V traveled to Europe and was inspired by what he saw, bringing those architectural elements back to Bangkok and blending them with traditional Thai style.

The result? One of Bangkok's most unique and visually stunning temples that perfectly captures this blend of East meets West.
