How to optimise images for website using picmonkey

To start off you want to navigate to picmonkey.com. This is a great free resource to do any online editing of an image. You only need an Internet connection!
Once our image has uploaded (I have used my logo as an example) we are shown a set of navigation boxes on the left.
Select the "resize" navigation box on the bottom left hand corner and your image dimensions will drop down.
You want to keep the "fix proportions"box ticked as this will keep your aspect ratio of the image.
I like to resize my images to about 600x600 pixels if I was using the image for an article or gallery photo. I find this normally brings my images down below 150kbs which is what is needed to keep your website page to loading fast.
Click the apply button.
Now our image has been resized we need to save it!
Click the save button at the top and the "save dialogue box will come up.
Rename your image file so you know which size it is. EG summitwebbox600x600
Just keep the default resize option.
Click save and choose where you what to save it on your computer.
It's that easy. Now go to your website and upload it!
