How to replace a lambda sensor on a VOLKSWAGEN GOLF 5 (1K1) 1.6 Hatchback 2003–2009 [AUTODOC MANUAL]
Lambda sensors on VW Golf VI Hatchback (5K1) (10.2008–11.2013) / VW Golf VI Convertible (517) (01.2013–05.2016) / VW Golf VI Estate (AJ5) (07.2009–07.2013) / VW Jetta Mk5 (1K) (08.2005–10.2010) / VW Touran I (1T1, 1T2) (02.2003–05.2010) cars should be replaced using the same procedure. However, there may be slight differences due to vehicle design.

0:40 — Disconnect the wiring from the lambda sensor.
0:56 — Clean the lambda sensor's fasteners.
1:12 — Remove the lambda sensor.
1:54 — Install the new lambda sensor.
2:17 — Treat the lambda sensor connector with a suitable cleaning agent.
2:52 — Tighten the fasteners on the lower oil pan cover.
3:00 — Turn on the ignition.
