And with that, the first one of eight episodes is done!
There is so much I could say about this series already and so many things that I adore. I had a huge love for all these books growing up, but there is something in the way the last one is written that flows with how Lyra has grown and I'm really pleased with how that's being portrayed on screen. Just simple things, like Will looking away whilst Balthamos & Baruch have a moment, it's just little things like that I think I was dying to see. Not to mention the decision to make Ama sign was brilliant!
I mean, I would've loved the Iorek & Serafina scene, but I guess we can't have everything.
I massively miss Helen as the voice of Stelmaria :( She was honestly perfect for her, and there are scenes I would've loved to hear her acting on, but so far I have high hopes for Asriel's story - another character I've always felt a strange liking for, even after all he does, and all the contradictions he is as a man. I cannot wait to have more of him to edit with again!
It wasn't exactly planned to use another song by Ruelle and/or Unsecret, but apparently they are my top vibes for this show, which I do find a little funny, but if it works, we go with. Undoubtably my favourite part of this edit is at 2:09 - 2:11 so please at least check that out.
