This arrived in a branded and colourful box with images of the frame on the back and front. Once opened the frame held in a card frame, wrapped in a plastic sleeve, and has a removable screen protector. Under the main frame you have the power connection, the removable stand, and the instruction manual. Everything is well packaged and presented.
First impressions: the frame has a nice simple look to it on the front in the style of a simple picture frame. The reverse has fixing slots for wall hanging either in the horizontal or vertical position, along with a slot for the removable stand which also easily allows for either horizontal or vertical display. The power control button is on the back along with a micro SD card slot. I like the simple design of the reversible stand which works really well.
After unpacking I put the Frameo application on my phone and powered on the frame holding the power button. The initial setup is very straight forward and once complete I used the Frameo app to go through uploading some pictures to the frame. I found the process worked well, and I transferred multiple pictures from my phone without issue.
The touch screen display is very responsive and I was impressed with the image quality. I like that when the image does not fill the screen it will fill the remained with blurred bar colour which works well for display.
The picture will automatically orientate if you change the frame from vertical to horizontal and visa versa, which is very quick and a nice feature avoiding have to do it manually. I loaded some pictures onto a micro SD card and they displayed well, and you also have the option to display from the card or import the photos onto the devices memory.
The menu system if very good, giving a variety of different options for display, such as the time you want to display each picture for, and if you wish to fill the frame. It gives the option to change the display order either by date, uploaded time or shuffle, but it will run through all photos and does not give any option to select the photos you wish to display other than to hide pictures. It does play videos well and has sound but the volume is extremely low even at the highest level so hardly audible.
Overall in my opinion the display is very high quality, and uploading pictures very simple and accessible from multiple devices via an on screen code. The sound quality for videos is very poor which is a shame, and I would have liked a folder option so you could display selected images easier. Overall a great display with a couple of minor issues.
