Implementing a lossless retreat in Medieval 2: Total War with youneuoy's M2TWEOP software
On the example of the current multiplayer hot-seat campaign for the Teutonic campaign (addon to M2TW).
Comrade youneuoy created and successfully improves the M2TW Engine Overhaul Project (v19) program, the capabilities of which truly give unprecedented opportunities in modding the game Medieval 2: Total War and, most importantly, this program made a real breakthrough in multiplayer campaigns (hot-seat campaigns) based on the game Medieval 2: Total War (mods).
Now hot-seat on Medi can be conducted with full-fledged online battles. That is, players move their armies along the campaign map in turn; then, if one of the armies attacks the other, the Engine Overhaul Project program will create the necessary file in a matter of seconds and the battle of these two armies can be played online - that is, each player will be able to control his army directly in battle.
And, most importantly: the Engine Overhaul Project program will allow you to transfer the results of an online battle to the campaign map !!! Which nobody could ever do before.

What does the term "hot-seat" mean? *?
Hot-seat is a type of multiplayer game invented for turn-based strategies. A kind of "multiplayer campaign", or multiplayer game. In this mode, the players, sitting at one computer, perform their moves in turn. From the English "Hot-seat" "hot seat", the chair has not yet had time to cool down, as the next player makes a move.
Fans of the Total War series have adapted this version of the game for turn-based battles over the Internet.
