Victoria Nuland is a star of Russian propaganda, the same woman who handed out "State Department cookies" on the Maidan in 2014. But the irony is that long before the Maidan, back in the 1980s, Victoria Nuland fed the Soviet army with fish. She worked on a Soviet fishing boat, learned to swear in Russian, drink, and fight off drunken Russian men.
Victoria Nuland, portrayed by Russian propaganda as one of Russia's main enemies, is in fact a great admirer of that very "great Russian culture." She began studying Russian while still in university, devoured Chekhov, Tolstoy, and Dostoevsky, and always believed that the US and Russia could and should cooperate.
Nuland participated in negotiations between Russia and NATO back in the 1990s, and then in negotiations between Russia and Ukraine in 2016 and 2022. Now she can speak about them in more detail. For example, why Ukraine wasn't admitted to NATO in 2008? And is it true that in April 2022, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson dissuaded the Ukrainians from signing a peace agreement? And what will happen if Donald Trump becomes the next US president?
