EDU Module 2026: Virtual Production Role: Virtual Art Department Artist | Onboarding: VFX Artist
This video showcases my role as Virtual Art Department Artist on the music video BURY ME by Jessica Spurrell, produced in the Virtual Production Graduate Certificate, at Humber Polytechnic, in Fall 2025.
We worked with professional Director of Photography Gregor Hagey and writer/director Jacqueline Elyse Rosenthal, in the process of creating this music video.
Through my work in this Virtual Production role, I gained role-specific skills that I want to impart on any future students of VP, with a focus on demystifying workflows, strengthening collaboration with traditional film crews, and preparing others to confidently step onto a Virtual Production LED Volume set.
As well, I developed practical insights that can support professionals transitioning from traditional film roles. As part of this module, I provide onboarding guidance to help onboard those entering the role of VFX Artist, highlighting key considerations, workflows, and collaborative approaches within an ICVFX environment.
