I’ve got a pile of faulty Makita 18V batteries - blinking LEDs, locked BMS boards, totally lifeless. To diagnose and revive them, I built a tiny $5 Arduino tool called OBI that plugs straight into the battery, reads hidden data, and unlocks error codes with one click.
