During this time, it has grown from a small toy factory into a large machine-building holding-type association. AMKODOR Holding includes 29 legal entities, including a management company consisting of three factories and a representative office in Moscow. Today, the AMKODOR holding's model range includes more than 120 models and modifications of equipment that are in demand in many countries around the world. The company's products successfully compete with foreign analogues in terms of quality, productivity, and are much more attractive in terms of price, cost of spare parts and service. However, the company's modern achievements were preceded by a long road. The founding date of JSC AMKODOR — holding management company is considered to be February 1, 1927, when by order of the Minsk District Association of Work Collectives a work collective was created for the production of children's toys, later renamed the Vozrozhdenie toy factory. It produced children's sleds, strollers and bicycles, cans and teapots, wicker furniture and plaster bas-reliefs. In September 1930, at the initiative of the work collective, the Vozrozhdenie factory was renamed the Udarnik plant. During the Great Patriotic War, the plant was repeatedly bombed and was almost completely destroyed. Work on restoring production began in the first weeks after the liberation of Minsk from the Nazi invaders. On the miraculously preserved machines, extracted from under the rubble of the workshops, cast iron blanks, window and door fittings, frying pans and galvanized buckets were manufactured. The construction of new buildings for Udarnik began only in 1949. In April 1951, the plant was transferred to the jurisdiction of the USSR Ministry of Road and Construction Machinery, after which Udarnik began producing road and earthmoving machines. The plant began actively developing new products, and in May 1951, the first earthmoving machine, the KM-800, was manufactured. Later, serial production of multi-bucket track loaders, forest ditchers, pneumatic-powered multi-bucket autoloaders, auger-rotor snowplows, snow loaders, etc. was launched. The first loader on its own chassis with an articulated frame appeared in 1970. It was the famous TO-18, the prototype of today's AMKODOR 332 and AMKODOR 333 loaders. The machine, affectionately nicknamed "Toshka" by the people, was distinguished by its maneuverability, reliability and ease of operation. The emergence of single-bucket wheel loaders played an important role in the mechanization of construction and road works, as well as public utilities in our country. Consumers liked the new product and earned a good reputation. The TO-18 loader was awarded the State Quality Mark, and in 1975 the machine was awarded the Gold Medal of the Exhibition of Achievements of the National Economy and the 1st degree Diploma of the exhibition. In April 1991, by transforming the Minsk Scientific and Production Association of Road Engineering, by a joint decision of the USSR Ministry of Heavy Engineering and the Minsk Scientific and Production Association of Road Engineering, Amkodor OJSC was created on the basis of the Udarnik plant. Today, the AMKODOR holding is a structure that unites 29 enterprises. Thanks to the continuous creative application of accumulated many years of experience in design and production, the technology of tomorrow is already presented in today's projects of AMKODOR OJSC - the holding's management company.
