In this video, I solve a real question asked in the LIC Assistant Administrative Officer (LIC AAO) Exam 2009.
A team of eight person joined in the shooting competition. The best marksman scored 85 points. If he had scored 92 points, the average score of the team would have been 84. The number of points the team scored was?
Number of persons = 8
If the best marksman had scored 92, the average would be 84.
So, total score in that case:
84 \times 8 = 672
This total includes 92 instead of the actual 85.
Difference:
92 - 85 = 7
So the real total score of the team:
672 - 7 = 665
✅ The team actually scored 665 points
