Strat Trem Mod for Sustain: Deck it or Block it?
Looking for more sustain from your Stratocaster? Should you "Deck the Trem" on your modern Strat? I say no! Lock it in place with wood blocks to keep it from deforming the wood near your trem posts. Blocks can be made from most any scrap wood you have lying around. In this case, I'm using old pine shims I made from a prior guitar body blank.
