Hi, Caleb from Brownells here. Let me ask you a question: have you ever been in a situation where you wanted to use your QD sling or your tactical sling with QD studs on your traditional-style rifle stock? If the answer is yes, then I have just the product for you.
Alright, that was my super QVC-like sales pitch, but seriously, Samson makes QD sling swivel stud adapters, and it's exactly what it sounds like. Let me just bust it open and take a look here. I'm just going to dump them on the table, place this neatly that way.
It works the exact way you think it should. You simply take it, drop it onto your traditional eyelet-type QD stud, and actually, you’ve got to be a little bit smarter than the equipment you're working with, right? So, I'm going to screw this in from the correct side and just thread it on in there. It comes with a wrench to tighten it, but I'm just going to snug it up and boom, look at that. Now I can put my QD sling into this traditional-style stock, which is kind of cool.
When I first saw it, I was like, why would anyone ever use that? Then my brain actually started working, maybe I drank some more coffee or whatever, but it dawned on me. I can see myself wanting to run this Magpul sling on here. Maybe you don't have a traditional-style sling, or maybe you just don't want to use one. All you have are the slings from your AR-15s or something like that, and now you can just swap them around. You don't have to buy a bunch of different slings for all your different firearms.
Yeah, it's just that simple. Maybe you just don't have the sling swivels that mount on this. Whatever the situation is, these will allow you to use this sling on a traditional stock, and that's exactly all they do. It serves a purpose. I haven't seen, I'm sure some of these are on the market somewhere—maybe I should have done research, I don't know—but I haven't seen these before, so I thought they were super interesting.
