I did a test fit of the inline transmission filter for my C70 installed on the bracket and tested the length of the upper transmission line and everything fit.
I drilled a second set of holes in the square tube base of the bracket so the steel rods would run all the way thru the square tube and stick out about a inch on the other side.
the bracket is nice and tight and I don't need to weld the rods in place. If I would have made this bracket off the car with the transmission pan on the work bench I might have welded the rods in place.
by making the bracket the way that I did I can still take it apart and it is secure and adjustable.
