If the drive doesn't work with VIX, download directly from the VMware website:

Edit the VIX file:
Run Notepad as administrator and open the file:
C:\Program Files (x86)\VMware\VMware VIX\vixwrapper-config.txt
Check your player version and change your file accordingly, for example:
ws 19 vmdb 15.5.6 Workstation-14.0.0
player 19 vmdb 15.5.6 Workstation-14.0.0
Exit and restart your PC.
