Citroën is thus renewing its all-time bestseller: the C3 has sold over 5.6 million units since its launch in 2002. This iconic model remains a resounding success, with continued strong growth. With each new generation of the C3, Citroën aims to revolutionize the market by offering an innovative concept while maintaining all of the model's qualities: a unique and assertive design, significant on-board comfort, useful everyday features, and an attractive price point.
The Citroën C3 offers a 1.2-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with 100 hp, mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. Completely redesigned for performance and reliability, this engine is now equipped with a timing chain, ensuring the C3's exceptional accessibility and versatility. In the WLTP combined cycle, this version will target 126 g of CO2/km (homologation pending).
The C3 is renowned for its smooth driving experience and on-board comfort. The new model further enhances this, combining driving pleasure with the feeling of being cocooned from the outside world.
Citroën Advanced Comfort® Suspension: For the first time, the all-new C3 features suspension with progressive hydraulic dampers. This Citroën exclusive is standard on all versions of the C3 and offers occupants a unique feeling of on-board comfort. Instead of mechanical stops, two hydraulic dampers are used at each corner of the vehicle, combined with the shock absorber and spring: one for compression and the other for extension.
The cabin is more spacious, with more legroom, headroom, and elbow room for improved comfort: the seats are raised 76 mm compared to the current version. This allows occupants to enjoy a higher, more commanding position, with a greater sense of control and security. All occupants enjoy improved outward visibility, contributing to a greater sense of well-being on board. Furthermore, the increased headroom provides more headroom (+31 mm compared to the market average) and allows the seating position to be adjusted to free up more legroom for passengers. Rear legroom has increased by at least 20 mm compared to the market average. Efforts have also been made to increase elbow room for rear passengers by 19 mm and for front passengers by 21 mm compared to the market average.
Carrying items and luggage is easy with the all-new C3. The larger cabin offers useful and clever storage spaces on the door panels, center console, and under the center armrest, while a wireless charging pad is available for the center console. The generous trunk has a volume of 310 liters (+10 liters). Its capacity can be increased thanks to the modular 60-40 split rear seat.
