-Note: The information in this video reflects the Pre-TCW Expanded Universe. Although the status quo is that "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" is officially considered canon to both the post-Disney buyout continuity as well as the Expanded Universe continuity (now derogatively rebranded as "Legends"), TCW has always had an immense difficulty fitting into the pre-established lore of the Expanded Universe and no official timeline properly integrating it with the rest of the EU was ever established before the EU's "decanonization". So it is the position of Manda-LORE to ignore TCW and it's tie-in material entirely and replace the original events it retconned back in their proper chronological orientation on the timeline to preserve the EU's original continuity. Save your breath and don't bother trying to convince me of TCW being able to fit within the EU, I've done extensive research for over a decade and it can't without making lore breaking retcons and I don't care what George Lucas says, does or thinks, sorry.
It will inevitably be brought up that the Separatist Parliament was George's Idea as he didn't want to portray the CIS being run by corporations, however this is contradictory to what we see in the films and as the name of the faction states, it was a Confederacy, meaning many smaller autonomous bodies coming together for mutual aid and defense. Making the CIS just mirror the Republic ignores the entire in-universe reason for the CIS being established in the first place. The irony isn't lost on the show, as anyone who watched the episode with a brain-cell could point out the stupidity of that one senator who said "Unlike the Republic we are not run by Corporations..." when in-fact the entire faction was indeed run by corporations. The literal next scene in the episode is Banking Clan, Corporate Alliance and Techno Union Reps talking about how they're the ones in control of the CIS... laughable.
Also, I'm sure there will be many in the "where tactical droid?" camp, so lets get that out of the way. The tactical droid makes no sense. If there were and always have been droids capable of deep tactical and strategic cogitation, there would be no need for the organic generals and admirals we see in BOTH continuities. The original in-lore reason why there were organic generals and admirals in the CIS was because droids with that amount of tactical capabilities would be required to be extremely technologically advanced beyond the tech of the time, therefore ludicrously expensive and difficult to manufacture.
