INSIDE THE SAN PAOLO FAVELA
In Brazil, the Heliopolis favela is considered the second largest favela in Latin America, with around 200,000 inhabitants, a few km from Sao Paulo. The old shacks of a hundred families gave rise to brick buildings in just a few decades, radically changing the reality of the area over the years, but the growth of the population has brought several new local problems. Social vulnerability continues to affect many families, especially children who suffer the most.
For this reason I entered Heliopolis together with the ActionAid team to document how long-distance adoption can change the future of these children. Enjoy!❤
