Dr. Charles Johnson is Assistant Professor and Director of the Public History Program at North Carolina Central University. Dr. Johnson has a PhD from Howard University. He is the former Director of the South African Research and Archival Project (SARAP) at Howard University. Currently, he teaches courses on archives and oral traditions and his research has emphasized preserving local history of the African American experience.
