Forty years ago, on October 18th, 1985, the Nintendo Entertainment System launched in the U.S. and completely changed gaming. It took a struggling industry and restored people’s confidence after the infamous video game crash of 1983. For so many of us, this was where it all started: that gray box sitting under the TV, full of new worlds to explore.
In this video, I take a look back at how the NES made such a huge impact. From the early Black Box arcade-style titles to the groundbreaking adventures that came later, we’ll revisit the games, the memories, and the legacy that still lives on today.
