That's exactly the problem I ran into with my mine hoist. The brake appears to be working, the mechanism moves as it should, and everything looks correct at first glance. Yet something isn't right.
In this video, I take you through the hoist system step by step, showing different angles, close-up views of the brake mechanism, and the way the hoist operates in real time. Together we'll look at the components involved and try to work out why the brake isn't performing the way it should.
