xTool M2: Turn ANY Boring SVG Into a Full-Color Print (Free Software!)
Hey there crafty friends! Today I'm sharing one of my favorite little tricks inside xTool Studio — how to turn a plain black-and-white SVG file into a full-color print file with just a few button clicks. 🎨
This is perfect if you want to color print with the xTool M2 inkjet module, the apparel printer, or you're getting ready for the UV printer that's on the way. And the best part? xTool Studio is 100% FREE, so you can download it and follow along even if you don't own an xTool machine yet. Getting comfy with the software before you invest makes the whole experience so much smoother.
In this tutorial I walk you through starting a new project, importing your SVG, switching into inkjet printing mode, ungrouping your design, and customizing every color with fill, stroke, hex codes, opacity, and the dropper tool. I'll also show you the ONE mistake that ruined my first print (hint: it's the stroke!) and why removing it makes such a big difference once you print.
