COBIT is a framework for the governance and management of enterprise information and technology, therefore, COBIT is aimed at the whole enterprise, not just the IT department. COBIT makes a very clear distinction between governance and management. The two disciplines require different structures, activities and serve different purposes.
COBIT 2019 defines three principles for a governance framework which are there to be considered when we build a tailored governance solution or governance system for the enterprise. This video, taken from our COBIT 2019 Foundation course, explains those principles in further detail.
