Early American Colonial Era Doglock Flintlock Musket | Early 18th Century Muzzleloader

Today we're looking at an original doglock flintlock musket from Colonial America. This is a great example of an American Doglock muzzleloader, with all of the lock components intact and functional.
What's neat abou tthis piece is that we have both the external dog as well as an internal half-cock notch. This leads me to believe this is sort of a transitional doglock because the internal half cock notch would later replace the external dog, fully converting many muzzleloaders from a dog lock to a flint lock action/ignition system.

Signed "KING-WACH-BELL" on the top barrel flat
American maple stock
The stock features a downward swept curved buttstock in the Colonial style dating to around the time of the French & Indian War and Revolutionary War era.
