vCenter Server Appliance and ESXI Upgrade, My Virtualization Project Part 7
In this video I will upgrade vCenter Server Appliance and ESXI Hosts from version 6.7 to 7.0.
I'll be using esxcli command to upgrade Host1 and Lifecycle Manager to Upgrade Host 2, 3 and 4.
Preparation
1. Read the VMware 7 upgrade requirements
2. Download these three files from VMware
a. VMware-VCSA-all-7.0.0-15934039.iso - used to upgrade VCenter Server Appliance
b. VMware-VMvisor-Installer-7.0.0-15843807.x86_64. iso - used to upgrade esxi host
using Lifecycle Manager
c. VMware-ESXi-7.0.0-15843807-depot.zip - used to upgrade using esxcli with SSH.
3. Download WinSCP from winscp.net. This is Used to copy the zip file from windows to the
esxi host.
