I BOUGHT MY DAD A CAR FOR HIS BIRTHDAY
This video is about how I fulfilled my childhood dream. I gave my father a car. Maybe not the best and certainly not new, but still.
First, a little backstory. Times were tough. My father worked from dawn to dusk, seven days a week, from the age of 20 to give us what we have. When he finally had some spare money, he bought an old 1990 Mercedes that wasn't running. He spent over four years restoring it in his spare time. He found and bought the engine, completely disassembled it, refinished it, and painted it. As far as I know, he even ordered wood inlays from a German forum for vintage Mercedes enthusiasts. He invested a lot of money and effort into it. In 2015, he had to sell it urgently for 150,000 rubles. At that moment, my childhood dream became a goal.
I was planning to find this car, buy it back, and give it to my dad for his anniversary. But my parents moved to the countryside, and their Toyota Carina was constantly getting stuck in the snow, so I decided I needed a tall car. In the winter of 2020, I bought an old Lexus RX300 for myself, intending to give it later for my anniversary. I drove it for a while and then gave it to my parents for the winter. And then for the spring. I picked it up before my birthday, so it wouldn't feel like I'm giving you what you already have. I drove it for a month, and then this day came.
