Extraprostatic Disease
The patient presents with 2 prostate lesions. The first within the right base lateral posterior peripheral zone and
right mid lateral peripheral zone measures 2.5 cm x 1.1 cm x 0.4 cm. The second is within the in the left mid lateral posterior peripheral zone. Both of these are compatible with prostate carcinoma.
Extraprostatic Disease occurs when prostate carcinoma grows past the prostate's pseudocapsule and invades the surrounding soft-tissue.
