How To Disable Directory Protection
Now that Bob has his website running, he wants to integrate some social media widgets on it. However he gets an error when he adds them to the site. This is caused by the firewall on his hosting account. The firewall may disrupt some outgoing connections like RSS feeds, http requests to external servers, social media websites, cURL, fopen and even the work of some WordPress plugins. That is why Bob needs to enable the outgoing connections on his hosting account. To do that, he needs to log into the control panel, then scroll down and look for the Firewall Options link in the Hosting Account Features section. If the Firewall Options feature says that it is disabled, Bob needs to click on the "Enable" button and the outgoing connections will no longer be disrupted, allowing Bob to place whatever social media widgets he needs and be happy again!
