This is a short tutorial video explaining how to extract the results from a specific node using ODB filed output option. Next, it explains how to use a node list to extract the results from a path. These approaches are explained for Abaqus software. We use the welding model which is similar to additive manufacturing simulation. In this example, by using the node approach we could find the exact time that the heat source moves on top of the specified node. Thus you could see the temperature variation during the simulation time. The path approach would extract the results from a defined line at the exact time of the simulation which is helpful to find the temperature variation along the line.
