Massive Shortcut to Edit Faster: Use ReCut
ReCut is an amazing tool I use on my personal vlogs and videos. It finds all the silent sections and cuts them for you. Once cut up, export to FCPX, Premiere or Davinci Resolve. On a recent 20 min video, ReCut split my timeline with 478 cuts, all in a matter of seconds. Once in FCPX I could choose which quiet spots I wanted to keep or delete. Probably saves me 1-2 hours of editing every time. Mindblowing!
