The Suzuki Gixxer came out in 2014. It was Suzuki's offering in the popular heart of the premium commuter class... and it was a great little bike! It was both fuel efficient and comfortable, but what stuck with you is the fact that you always enjoyed riding it. Which was not the case with all the motorcycles in the class. Next year, the Suzuki Gixxer will turn 10. We rode the Gixxer again in 2023 and it remains a strong motorcycle option in the class in terms of the feelings it generates. But Suzuki have basically forgotten to update this bike... like at all! The Gixxer SF arrived in 2015 and since then? The always on headlamp, fuel injection, the digital console, and now the connected console... and more recently, ABS are literally the only three changes it's ever seen! Which says a lot for how right Suzuki got the bike... as well as how desperately the Suzuki Gixxer needs an update to keep up with a class that's still popular but features new products from everyone but the Japanese.
