1PM Pacific Time July 11th (4PM Eastern, set your notifications now). Our friends at Vapor Memory ( / @vapormemory ) will be hosting their 5 year anniversary live stream event all day that day, but have carved out a 2 hour intermission for us so you don't have to miss anything.
·What to expect?
In April 2020, we hosted a first-of-its-kind livestream that placed live performances from underground electronic artists inside of immersive 360-degree computer generated spaces. ·Do I need VR equipment?
95% of people viewing will do so without any specialized equipment. On desktop, you can look around the 3D space by clicking and dragging your mouse within the YouTube window. On mobile, you can move your phone through the air to look around in all directions, like a camera to another world. However, those who own a VR headset will have the best experience, with the freedom to simply look around from a first-person perspective within the YouTube VR app.
·Set times?
The performances will all be relatively short and happen rapidly with a few surprises thrown in. We hope you won't miss a minute of it, because Virtual Utopia is being designed to be a unique performance of its own.
