A Floating Sauna on an Amsterdam Canal — Badhus, Noord
Nordic Wellness in Amsterdam North: Inside Badhus Social Sauna & Cold Plunge
Experience a "new wave of the old way" at Badhus, a unique outdoor sauna oasis in the heart of Amsterdam Noord. Moving away from traditional gym saunas and flashy hotel spas, Badhus offers a minimalistic, community-driven experience inspired by authentic Nordic traditions.
In this video, we go behind the scenes with founders Julie and her team to see how they transformed an old industrial garage into a welcoming "urban bathhouse." Discover the floating pontoon sauna, the high-heat outdoor experience, and why the "social sauna" concept is taking Amsterdam by storm.
Whether you're looking for an Aufguss ritual, a brave jump into the Amsterdam canal, or a place to disconnect from your phone and reconnect with yourself, Badhus is the ultimate wellness destination.
