In this video we get introduced to a simple, powerful visual technique called Pre-attentive Attributes. These can really help draw your audiences eye to the correct things in your data visualizations in subtle ways. This is brought to life with the game at the start, which might seem familiar to a lot of you - where a big table of hard to read numbers is presented on a screen, with the audience expected to "understand" it very quickly. But with the addition of colour we can quickly find the highest number in less than a second!
