America's 2nd Longest Paved Rail Trail System, Silver Comet and Chief Ladiga Trails S4/E4
A contrast between one of the highest mountain passes in New Mexico, Brazos Pass at 10,528' elevation, and the 2nd longest paved rail trail system in the country, The Silver Comet and Chief Ladiga Trails. The Silver Comet Trail starts in Smyrna, Georgia just 13 miles west of Atlanta wiggling westward towards the Alabama border 60 miles away. From there, it continues westwardly for another 30 miles until reaching the city of Anniston, Alabama. Combined, they make for close to 100 miles of cycling bliss.
