Home made CNC machine - initial plans, Fusion 360
After about 40 revisions and iterations, this is the design I have come up with. I wanted to disgn something that is easy to get laser-cut locally, the coments cplit together, then I have the option of bolting it together and later welding it together. The frame is 50*25mm steel box section and 3mm cut steel plates. The rest is made from 20mm liniear bearing, Nema 23 motors, some more 3mm laser cut plates, some 60*20mm aluminium box section and some M8 fastenings - all things I can eaily get locally. I already have the TR12x3 leadscrews at home so this is my size limit. Drawn in Fusion360, all self taught over the past few months - so please go easy on me! Hopefully in a few months I might have a video of this working.
