Why I'll NEVER Stream in 1080p / 60 FPS Until... (Transcoding)
As a Twitch streamer, it is important to ensure as many people as possible are able to watch your shows. Because of transcoding, with your default quality options set to a more accessible level, more viewers have the opportunity to see how great of an entertainer you are. While partners are guaranteed transcoding, affiliates and non-affiliates are not so you have to keep that in mind as you tweak your streams.
