In today's CSS animated background tutorial we'll learn how to draw and animate characters with CSS(CSS3, HTML5). As part or my winter Star Wars series we will draw a BB8 droid with pure CSS and make it move around the screen. We will also turn it into animated checkbox and spinner/loader, how’s that for web design ideas for beginners. You will learn how to use CSS variables, calc function, positioning, CSS transforms and more. First we create animated background with moving clouds, this is a basic CSS tutorial for beginners, but we will build on this effect for a while in the following videos, let’s see how far we can go with this. I’m thinking to make this into CSS/JavaScript game. This is HTML5 CSS3 Code Along for Beginners, anyone can follow and create this awesome simple CSS text animation.

If you want source code to my tutorials I have made some of my videos available on live coding platform Eversparked. You can watch my videos with LIVE browser preview and live code that can be copied and adjusted at any stage. I really like the project idea, I wish I had a tool like that when learning hot to code.
