Après avoir fait paraître l’album Grounding Place Volume I, Nora est de retour avec le single Words, en préparation pour la sortie de Grounding Place Volume II.
La chanson est accompagnée d’un clip qui vient souligner le message de “Words”: A travers une série de portraits mis en scène, le clip vient décrire les hauts et les bas que l’on peut traverser au niveau de la communication avec nos proches.
Parfois, le courant ne passe pas, malgré nos meilleures intentions et les meilleurs usages de la parole… alors que dans d'autres cas, tout peut être dit et compris dans le silence.
Nora tient ici à « libérer » la parole et à être soi-même pour ne conserver du dialogue que sa forme la plus sincère et spontanée.
Le clip a été réalisé et filmé au Maroc, à Rabat. Ce qui a commencé par une conversation autour d’un thé à la menthe entre amis/famille s’est transformé en un vrai projet qui s’est dessiné avec beaucoup de passion, travail et amour avec Aicha Abbadi, Rassane et Rayane Fadili, May et Nora Toutain!

After a successful release of her first project. “Grounding Place Vol I”, Nora is propelling us towards a full comeback with the first “Grounding Pace Vol II '' single. Word will be the first song introducing the second part of the 2 album concept, and will be revealed at the end of august/early sept.
“Words” is a tasteful blend of retro vibes with a modern beat.
The down tempo four on the floor groove, paired with a familiar classic chord progression is reminiscent of early Motown, but the vocals and production bring the song into modern alternative RnB territory, akin to an artist like Frank Ocean.
The familiar musical aspects of the song do not sacrifice sophistication and complex layers in arrangement, displaying once again the innovative spirit and chemistry behind Nora and Chris's collaborative work.
In addition to this galvanizing musical soundscape, Nora has married this piece with a mesmerizing visual clip, filmed with her close family and friends in Morocco. What started as a convivial gathering in her parents’ terrasse turned into a full production, bringing forward Moroccan creativity and fine artistry. This music video is a testament to our ability to dream our reality into clear pictures, co-created with her loved ones, Words captures glimpses of authentic scenes while putting forth human contradictions.
The video displays the complexity of communication we can face in intimacy, how communication doesn’t guarantee comprehension, and simultaneously the power of silence, and the consequent superfluous utility of words when we are truly understood.
Nora displayed a message of authenticity and courage to engage in freedom in our speech, to stand up and speak out.
