The Westmann Islands are an archipelago off the coast of South Iceland full of bright colored houses, puffins, local restaurants and a brewery – all on a little volcanic island! The ferry ride over is only 35 minutes from the mainland making this the perfect day trip from Reykjavik.
Join us for PART 1 of our camper van adventure to Heimaey - the only inhabited island of Vestmannaeyjar. We hike the Eldfell volcano, visit Eldheimar volcano museum, and visit the local brewery.
Stay tuned for PART 2 where we find puffins and beluga whales, and deal with our ferry getting canceled and then being EXTREMELY seasick on the way back 😵💫
